WEEK # 2  ALBANY INTERNATIONALS  at GILEAD GUNSLINGERS

Gilead takes 2 of 3

Game 1: Gilead manages just 2 hits. Albany gets 4 runs in the 8th. Big hit was a Corey Seager Bases loaded 3-RBI Double, as Albany wins 4-1.

Game 2: Gilead just gets 3 hits this game. One was a 2-run HR from Vlad Jr another an RBI double from Trea Turner. Robbie Ray goes 7 storng and Gilead wins 3-1.

Game 3: Jose Berrios takes a no-hitter into the 6th. Leaves after 7 giving up just 2 hits. Trea Turner has a 2-run HR and Jo Adell adds a solo shot for a 3-0 Gilead win.

WEEK # 4  VIRGINIA DESTROYERS at GILEAD GUNSLINGERS

Gilead sweeps Viginia 3-0

Game 1: Have a day Pedro Pages. He went 3 for 4 with a HR and 2B 3 RBIs. Old Man Justin Verlander pitched 6 strong ininings giving up just 1 ER with 7Ks as Gilead wins 5-1.

Game 2: Gilead pounds out 14 hits, including 2 HRs from Soto and 1 each from Bell, Bregman and Adell as they go on to win 10-3.

Game 3: Robbie Ray goes 8 innings allowing 2 runs, on solo HRs from Schwarber and Suarez. Gilead gets HRs from Turner and Soto and win 4-2 to complete the sweep.

WEEK # 4  GAME # 1   LAS VEGAS HIGH ROLLERS at INDIANAPOLIS CLOWNS

Pierce Johnson (1-0) was the winner as Indy Clowns shutout the Las Vegas High Rollers in 10 innings by a 2 to 0 score at Centennial Field.

The game was a scoreless tie after nine.  Indy won it in the 10th inning.

After an out was recorded, Matt Wallner was the sparkplug when he was hit by a pitch.  Nolan Schanuel dug into the batters box next, but he struck out. Hunter Goodman then delivered a one-base hit scoring a single run.  Goodman took second on the throw.  Jared Triolo was up next and he delivered a base-hit scoring the final run of the inning.  Indy had just 4 hits for the night. 

Johnson got help from Andrew Saalfrank who earned his 1st save. Hunter Brown (2-1) was given the loss.  Although losing the contest, he whiffed 14 batters in 10 innings. 

 

 

 

WEEK # 6 - GAME # 1  KONA COAST COFFEE GROWERS at PUYALLUP SPARTANS

 

A COMBINED NO-HITTER!!

The Puyallup Spartans pitching staff gave the fans an afternoon that they'll never forget by tossing a combined no-hitter! The tension started to build around the 6th inning.  By the 9th inning the crowd was electrified and whiffed an impressive total of 8 Kona Coast batters.  Puyallup managed only 3 hits on the afternoon. 

The winning pitcher was Sonny Gray (5-2) who allowed no runs in 7 innings. Andres Munoz gained credit for his 13th save.  Kevin Gausman   (3-2) was given the loss.  He allowed just 3 hits and 2 walks in 7 innings. 

"You probably have a better chance of winning the lottery than this happening," said Gray who got credit for the win, "I don't expect it to sinkin for awhile." he said. "You know, it's hard to say who was better, the starter or the bullpen!"

WEEK # 8  SHORELINE SOCKEYES at HUDSON GUNNERS

Game 1 - Castillo goes 7 strong while Judge and Trout each homer. Abbott pitches well dropping his ERA to 1.83

Game 2 - This game was about Luis Gil......in a bad way. He issued 10 walks in 6 innings then Sean Newcomb came in and walked 5 more in the 7 inning. The walk parade may have overshadowed Mitch Keller's 7 shutout innings where he struck out 9. Trout homered again.

Game 3 - Isaac Paredes homered twice as the Sockeyes swept the series. Ward did go 4-4 in the final.

 

WEEK # 6  ALBANY INTERNATIONALS at GILEAD GUNSLINGERS

Gilead drops the first game then takes the next 2

Game 1: Corey Seager belts a 2-run HR in the 8th to secure a 4-2 Albany win.

Game 2: Jo Adell's 2 HRs and 4 RBIs power Gilead to a 7-4 win.

Game 3: Slugfest early as Albany gets HRs from Diaz, Seager, Stott, Perez and 2 from Bellinger, while Gilead gets HRs from Soto and Vlad Jr all in the first 4 innings as Albany was up 7-6. Gilead ties it in the 9th on a Trea Turner RBI single then win it in the 10 on an Alex Bregman walk off RBI single and an 8-7 victory.

WEEK # 9  McHENRY CYBERMEN at GILEAD GUNSLINGERS


I feel like Dr Who as Gilead sweeps the Cybermen

 

Game 1: McHenry gets 3 solo HRs from Castellanos, Moniak and Baldwin but Gilead pounds out 12 hits and gets solid relief pitching to win 5-4

Game 2: Mickey Moniak tied the game 2-2 with a solo HR in top of 9th, but in bottom of 9th Josh Bell walks it off with his own solo HR. Gilead wins  3-2

Game 3: Victor Caratini goes 3 for 4 with 2 HRs and 4 RBIs as Gilead completes the sweep with a 5-2 win.
